Статья посвящена изучению влияния университетов на развитие регионов. Объектом исследования являются участники проекта «Научно-исследовательские университеты» в Сибирском федеральном округе и соответствующие регионы. В исследовании использован корреляционный анализ данных мониторинга вузов за 2012—2021 гг. и показателей развития регионов за 2010—2021 гг. Анализ показал положительное влияние качества приема в научно-исследовательские университеты (НИУ) на численность населения и инновационные разработки в долгосрочной перспективе, связь ВРП и инновационной деятельности с научно-исследовательской работой вузов. Исследование подтвердило гипотезу о влиянии университетов со статусом НИУ на развитие регионов.

The article is devoted to the study of the influence of universities on the development of regions. The object of the study is the participants of the project “Research Universities” in the Siberian Federal District and the corresponding regions. The study uses correlation analysis of university monitoring data for 2012-2021 and regional development indicators    for 2010-2021. The analysis showed a positive impact of the quality of admission to research universities on the population and innovation development in the long term, the interconnection between GRP and innovation activity and the research work of universities. The study confirmed the hypothesis about the influence of research universities on the development of regions
