Impact of National Research Universities on the Development of the Regions of the Siberian Federal District.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the influence of universities on the development of regions. The object of the study is the participants of the project “Research Universities” in the Siberian Federal District and the corresponding regions. The study uses correlation analysis of university monitoring data for 2012-2021 and regional development indicators    for 2010-2021. The analysis showed a positive impact of the quality of admission to research universities on the population and innovation development in the long term, the interconnection between GRP and innovation activity and the research work of universities. The study confirmed the hypothesis about the influence of research universities on the development of regions
