State Policy on Countering Extremism and Terrorism: Regional Level

Given the current external context for the Russian Federation, scientific research into the ability of citizens to resist terrorist threats is of particular importance and relevance. Based on empiri cal data obtained from a monitoring study in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as an empirical study of the main directions and effective measures for countering extremism and terrorism in the youth infor mation environment in the Republic of Khakassia, the authors examined the readiness of the popula tion to personally participate in counter-terrorism activities. Since 2023, regional communities have recognised that terrorism is a reality of Russia’s internal development, threatening the integrity of the state. The article shows that the inclusion of social actors in such activities requires a certain set of conditions: active information dissemination, participation of civil society institutions, productive work of state institutions, etc.
